Follow me on my journey to a happy life

I move through my days light-hearted and carefree, knowing all is well.

I don’t know when I started to become a worrier. Usually, I’m on the adventurous side of life without thinking too much about what lies ahead of me but somehow I find myself worrying more often and getting stuck in negative thoughts. No wonder, that a meditation titled “Carefree Living” recently caught my eye.

The 15 minute guided meditation from Dr. Deepak Chopra – a luminary in the field of body, mind and spirit – looks at how we can live carefree. Free from judgement and worry, focusing on the joy and perfection of what is. The meditation helps us to grow into present moment awareness and we will feel more light-hearted, realizing that in this moment, everything is fine, and that any concerns or worries are temporary.

In this meditation, Deepak Chopra uses the Sanskrit mantra, “Sat, Chit, Ananada”:

  • Sat: Absolute truth or being, timeless and never changing
  • Chit: Consciousness
  • Ananda: Bliss

Repeating this mantra will help us to become more mindful and aware of our beautiful inner nature.

The centering thought throughout the medition is:

“I move through my days light-hearted and carefree, knowing all is well.”

This has become my personal mantra for now. I wrote it on a piece of paper and carry it with me wherever I go and I repeat it in the morning to start the day without worrying too much. Of course, it’s not that I can switch off all negative thoughts and worries with saying this sentence three times a day, but it helps me to calm down and be a little less stressed about the challenges I have to face.

If you feel the same, give it a go! Here’s the guided meditation:
